A monarch butterfly feeds on nectar at the Ruisseau Robert Nature Reserve in Carignan, Quebec, Canada. The monarch butterfly was designated as endangered by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC) in 2016, and then by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in 2022.
Justin has been conducting a photo-inventory of wildlife at the Ruisseau Robert Nature Reserve since 2017. The reserve, which is currently owned by the Fauna Foundation, serves as an important breeding and migratory stop-over site for dozens of animal species, including several that are listed as endangered, threatened or of special concern.
